I love to play the piano! In the fifth grade, I began taking piano lessons from Cindy Maynard. In the seventh grade, the Maynard's left Goldendale and I began taking lessons from Jacqueline Ladewig, a member of the Oregon Music Teacher's Association. I participated in many state-wide recitals and competitions in grades 7 - 12.
My favorite classical composers are Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Brahms. I also like to play ragtime (Scott Joplin). Finally, I love improvising my own style of jazz and blues.
In my ideal world, I would play the piano about 3 hours a day and give piano lessons for another 2-3 hours a day. I have given a few lessons over the years, but so far, music has taken 2nd stage in my life to accounting.
